About me

I have loved the marine environment since first strapping on goggles and pushing my face underwater. I have a particular interest in the natural history and evolutionary ecology of aquatic organisms, but life on land can easily grab my attention too.

I have a PhD in marine evolutionary ecology from the University of Melbourne and a masters in science communication from the Australian National University. My research spans animal behaviour to life history evolution and how science is communicated on Twitter. I now work as a science communicator and freelance science writer.
